While she was visiting the San Francisco Bay Area, I met with the general manager of CIDR Pamiga, a microfinance INGO based in Paris, France. She sought my advice on expanding her organization's reach to the United States, particularly in the San Francisco Bay Area. NGOs often have challenges in developing because of a lack of funds, absence of strategic planning, and poor networking, among other difficulties.
Although NGO management isn't my area of expertise, I confidently created a report for her organization as an ideation experiment. The report offers a wide range of options, prioritizing funding. I'm pleased to say that some of my recommendations were successfully implemented. These included diversifying the organization's marketing strategy and improving its website and branding.
